This full moon is also the Chinese Moon Festival, or Mid Autumn Festival. The symbolic meaning of this festival is ‘Yuan’ – complete, whole, unified. It is a time for celebrating togetherness and connecting with the loved ones that they are physically apart. This special meaning, ‘Yuan’ is a perfect match for the theme of this full moon practice, UNIFICATION.
I would like to take this auspicious opportunity to thank you for being part of the Ren Xue family. Thank you for sticking together especially at these challenging times. What a blessing to be able to rely on the support of one another and of the strong Qifield to help us move forward without getting lost. My heart is filled with gratitude to you all.
Unification is a very special quality of life. True unification comes from within when our own life is unified. In the past month, you have been encouraged to work on unification, on integrating all components of your life – body, Qi, heart, consciousness and Shen – and creating a harmonious relationship between them. I trust that you have experienced some benefits of this practice.
Today I would like to suggest that you use your heart to achieve unification at a deeper level. When your heart is in a good state, it can connect with your Shen and align your consciousness. Go back to your heart and access one of the five essential qualities of the heart (trust, openness, love, gratitude and true respect, or Gongjing). It can be any quality you need at that moment. Align your thinking and your thoughts with this heart quality to achieve harmony between your heart and consciousness. When your consciousness is aligned with your heart, it will work with your heart to reach your Shen. If your thoughts keep arguing with your heart, find the patterns that drive them and transform these patterns until the argument stops. The unification of your heart, consciousness and Shen puts your life in a very special place. There is endless surprise to discover when you are in that special place!
There is a lot going on in the outer world, which makes it even more important to keep coming back to your heart and maintain the unification. The more you are unified, the more you will be rooted in your innermost being, and the less you will be under the sway of the outer world.
Finally, Melissa and I would like to send our very best full moon wishes to you and your family. May you all be safe and healthy. May your heart stay open and strong!
