Yuan Tze’s New Year Message 2024

Dear Ren Xue family,

Time continues to flow! The earth has just completed another circle around the sun, bringing us to the start of a new year. 2023 has not been an easy year for the world, and may not have been for many of us. But here we are, reading this message and celebrating the start of 2024 together. We have so much to be grateful for! More importantly, we are given the opportunity to make 2024 a better year!

Better for whom? When we know the world is likely to continue its trajectory through a difficult cycle? When we know it will be faced with more challenges and crises? Perhaps better for ourselves, first of all. But how?

I would like to encourage you to go back to THE most important question to ask: What is the true meaning of life? It is the most important question because we will need clarity to help us withstand the whirlpool of events in the world. Every human life is meaningful. Life is not just a random occurrence without any purpose. We live one lifetime after another not just for the sake of staying alive. The true meaning and purpose of life is to learn and grow. Life is a precious opportunity gifted by the universe.

Do you see your life this way?

Before the world emerges from its current trajectory, a lot more chaos can be expected. We are likely to hear more bad news, more lies, more sad stories. We are likely to notice how people get confused and feel lost and hopeless. We are likely to witness cruelty and barbaric treatment inflicted by and upon our fellow humans and beyond. We are likely to experience more natural disasters as mother earth tries to restore herself to balance. We are likely to see the world become more polarized.

Knowing what your life is for is only the beginning though. What will keep you safe and ensure that you are moving forward in a good direction is doing the right thing. What is the right thing? It is following the wisdom of the universe. The wisdom of the universe is all the laws that ensure the harmony and ongoing development of the universe. If we, both as individuals and as humanity as a whole, live in accordance with that wisdom, we can move in-step with the universe and be part of its development. How do we follow the wisdom of the universe? Start with aligning your Jingshen with the Jingshen of the universe. That is, aligning your heart with the heart qualities of the universe – trust, openness, love, gratitude, and true respect, and aligning your consciousness with the intention of the universe – harmony and growth – by transforming unhealthy patterns.

Knowing the true meaning of life is the beacon that shows the direction. Doing the right thing is what is required to move forward. Together, they will keep us safe despite the turmoil of the world. If we can help others along the way, we will enjoy even more protection. This is not invoking some mysterious power. The protection is the outcome of following the wisdom of the universe, the work of the law of cause and effect. It will work in the most intricate way, even to the smallest detail.

At this auspicious time of the year, I would like to encourage you to cultivate trust in the universe. When you have a hard time watching the world. When life gets too challenging and overwhelming. Trust the infinite wisdom of the universe. Trust its laws. Trust its work. Trust that it will be fair to everyone. Trust that aligning with its wisdom is the best protection you will get. Trust that it will take the best care of you. Trust that it is the best planner.

In short, your job is to learn and grow. Your growth is the best gift you can give to yourself and the world, and will bring you and the world the greatest reward – true peace and harmony. Let’s make 2024 better for everyone by growing together.

With my deepest love and gratitude,

Yuan Tze
