Unconditional Gratitude

Oct 8, 2022

Unconditional gratitude is an innate quality of the heart. It is constantly present in the heart of every human being.

When your heart is fully present in its natural and pure state, you can connect with everything in a direct way. There are no unhealthy patterns between you and what you connect with, filtering or twisting information. Furthermore, patterns mean repetition because they process information in a fixed way, over and over again. Those patterns create the same views, the same thoughts, and the same responses, turning life into experiences of endless repetitive scenarios which we get used to and rarely question.

When we live from the heart without the interference of unhealthy patterns, every moment is a new moment. Everything we see is as though we are seeing it for the first time. Everything we experience is a brand-new experience. This is when we can connect with the true nature of everything. When this is the way we relate to the world, it is impossible not to be amazed. How can we not feel gratitude when we are so amazed!

Are you amazed that as soon as you open your eyes, you can see the world right in front of you? Do you feel grateful for your eyes? Do you marvel at your ability to smell and taste? When you put food in your mouth, are you amazed that you can differentiate an array of tastes? Do you feel grateful for that? How about your hands? When you wash the dishes, are you amazed at how your hands can perform all tasks involved with all the fingers working in concert? Have you noticed how every finger has its important function and none of them is dispensable? Do you feel grateful for your hands, for every finger?

How about the world? Does it appear to be lacklustre and almost irrelevant to you? Does your family life seem banal? Do you tend to ignore the people around you? Do you find your daily routine boring – same job, same tasks, same people? If your answers are yes, perhaps it is time to find out what patterns are stopping you from connecting with the world from your heart. What patterns trick you into believing that this is how life is and trap you there? It is time to see what happened to your ability to be curious, to look at everything with fresh eyes, to find the beauty in everything, and to be amazed.

The truth is, feeling gratitude and feeling amazement are both natural abilities of your heart and they go hand-in-hand. Come back to your heart and reconnect with your gratitude. Unconditional gratitude will help you find amazement in everything, and when you are amazed, you cannot help but feel grateful. Let the gratitude in your heart turn your world into a place of wonderment and miracles, because that is how the world truly is.
